A revised scheme has been submitted to Harrogate Borough Council (HBC) by Harmby Homes Ltd for the development of two houses and two bungalows on this site.  Full details of the scheme, including site plans, may be seen on the HBC website here.  The application is for full planning permission and is currently open for comments.

Neighbourhood Plan Update

The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group (NPSG) had its first introductory meeting on 12th December 2018. The meeting identified the Group objectives and member roles.  The current membership of the NPSG can be seen here.

The NPSG will continue to meet regularly on the last Wednesday of each month.  Details of future meetings are available on the Upcoming Events and Neighbourhood Plan pages of the Parish Council website and the meetings are open to the public.

The development of a Neighbourhood Plan for the parish is a major undertaking for the NPSG and will probably take at least two years.  The NPSG has prepared a draft Plan Timescale for the plan, which is available to view here and in the Neighbourhood Plan Background Documents section of the website Document Library. This will be continually updated as the plan progresses.  The plan is also one of the Parish Council’s Ongoing Projects. Select the Neighbourhood Plan project from the list to see the main tasks and their progress as well as leave comments on any aspect of the project.

The agenda for the next NPSG meeting on 30th January 2019 may be viewd here. The main aims of the meeting will be to finalise a Community Engagement Strategy and to establish an approach for identifying residents main issues and concerns and their vision of how the parish should be at the end of the plan lifecycle.

There is now a FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) page about the neighbourhood plan on the website here, which explains more about the differing aspects of the plan. Please let us know if there are any further questions about the plan or its development process that you would like answered.
