Winter Fuel Payment will usually be paid automatically without claiming. However, if a person has never had a Winter Fuel Payment before they will need to claim if they do not get benefits or State Pension. The form is here.

Arrangements following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

A period of national mourning will continue until the state funeral on 19 September. The Government has issued guidance for the public, organisations and businesses for observing the period of mourning, including information on ceremonial events in central London.

The North Yorkshire County Council website has information about Books of Condolence across the county and the online Book of Condolence available from The Royal Family

The National Moment of Reflection will take place at 8pm on Sunday 18 September.

It is with sadness and deep felt thanks that we remember the life of a very great Monarch. May she rest in peace.

Staveley and Copgrove Parish Council would like to offer their thanks for the selfless dedication of 70 remarkable years given as our Queen.

Her Majesty has been a source of courage and inspiration as she has led us through both dark and positive times.

On behalf of Staveley and Copgrove, the PC would like to offer deepest condolences and sympathy to the Royal family at this sad time. Thoughts and prayers are extended with our gratitude, for a long life of dedication and commitment to duty.

May she now rest in the peace of God’s love.
