Further to the recent news of the possibility of a new Post Office mobile service coming to Staveley, the Postmaster at Ripon Post Office has now confirmed that they are willing to offer services to the village, in the belief that the establishment of a Mobile service presents the best possible solution to restore Post Office services to local communities.
The mobile Post Office will be located in the Staveley & Copgrove Village Hall Car Park, Main Street, Staveley, HG5 9LD on Fridays at 11:15am to 12:15pm. The service is scheduled to start week commencing Monday 23 March 2020.
A wide range of services will be available. There is a step into the Mobile vehicle, but an electronic tailgate is available to facilitate easy access for wheelchair users and those with disabilities. Parking is available close to where the Mobile van will be parked.
The Mobile Service is a travelling Post Office aboard a specifically designed vehicle that brings Post Office services and retail products to communities without relying on fixed premises that has formed part of the operational network for some years now.
